PVI13kW Installed at Evergreen

September 09, 2004

Solectria's PV Inverter installed by CSG at Evergreen's Manufacturing Facility

WOBURN, Massachusetts, U.S.A. - A Solectria PV Inverter was recently installed by Conservation Services
Group(CSG) at Evergreen Solar's facility in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

A Solectria PVI13KW Inverter is being used in the 13.8kW solar system designed and installed by Conservation Services Group, Inc. (CSG). The Solectria inverter converts the DC energy produced by the Evergreen solar panels into electricity, feeding it directly into the building's AC electrical system.

"Evergreen sees the commercial grid-tied PV market as an important element of our marketing strategy. We were plesed to have this opportunity to try out the new PVI13KW since it was such a good match for this system," stated Terry Bailey, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Evergreen.

"We were pleased to be chosen to be the designer and contractor for the new system for Evergreen," said Dan Porrazzo, Project Manager for CSG. "It is an honor to be selected by a PV manufacturer to install a PV system on its own building."

The PVI13KW includes both a DC disconnect and a fused AC disconnect, an AC contactor for zero Watt standby loss, an optional built-in 7-fuse PV combiner, a premium efficiency transformer and filter, and a state-of-the-art DSP-controlled, trench-gate IGBT inverter core. The unit is fully assembled and tested at Solectria, an ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturer. It is delivered as a single unit with nothing to connect, assemble, mount or wire other than the PV leads and AC connection to the facility's AC circuit panel.
