DG Technology - Background
Introduction: modern society’s dependence on electrical equipment increases with the rise in use of computers, communications, security and other electrically operated devices. This results in higher demand for improved reliability and, grid equivalent or better power quality at the customer's site. On the supply side, utilities need to avoid costly generation, transmission and distribution investments. Distributed Generation is a possible solution to both demand and supply side pressures on the electrical grid.
